Accident on Site - Worker's Compensation

At 5:19PM Friday, 3 August 2007, one of our foreign talents, Robert was knocked down by a reversing van delivering goods. Robert (Bob) broke his right arm and is currently taking shelter inside The Arts House. The driver of the van claimed not to have seen the 8ft high pedestal on which Bob, the builder was standing on. He (the driver) seemed remorseful and has agreed to pay for all the medical expenses required to nurse Bob back to health. However, despite the lightning quick reaction of the emergency rescue team, Bob may lose his right hand permanently, in which case he will be claiming worker's compensation. Being a good sport, Bob will resume his position opposite Raffles for the duration of the Singapore Art Show with an arm sling on.
An interesting note:
When Bob first arrived on Monday morning to take up his position opposite the Raffles statue, bollards were in place at the pavement, blocking the transportation vehicle from entering the site. Bob had to be placed on a trolley and wheeled in and the pedestal had to be carried in by 6 workers. However, on Friday, the van was allowed to drive right in and onto the pavement.
